The Bailey Adamo range is built upon the popular Ford Transit chassis and comes standard with automatic gearbox and the Ford 1995CC engine putting out 160BHP and a licence friendly 3500KG fully laden so can be driven by any licence holder with no restrictions.

The cab is well-appointed, with everything from air conditioning to lots of good storage to the padded, car-like steering wheel with multiple switches. The standard offering is a single-DIN unit that gives you DAB radio and Bluetooth connectivity. Cab blinds are standard on all Adamo motorhomes now, too. There are also a host of safety features in this Bailey Adamo 75-4 i motorhome, going way beyond twin airbags, to automatic headlights and rain sensing windscreen wipers, to make your drive all the most re-assuring.

Coming in through the habitation door, you’re aided by a lit grab handle, as well as a sturdy handle on the door. There are two coat hooks just above, and the TV bracket ideally placed so a TV placed here could be seen by everyone in the lounge.

In the lounge area, there’s foldaway Aguti convertible travelling seats incorporating ISOFIX fixings under each of the settees.

These are easy to assemble as required, and offer good legroom and a window for each passenger, the type of additions that can make a difference when you’re thinking about buying a motorhome.

The settees are comfortable, and with the cab seats swivelled, there is easily room for six to enjoy a meal on the large fold-out pedestal table.

The table is fixed but it has electric height adjustment, and can be moved manually fore-and-aft, so there should be no problem getting the most convenient dining position.

The kitchen comes with a sizeable extension flap for the work surface, which doesn’t intrude too much into the lounge.

In the kitchen you get the usual Bailey wooden hob cover in the matching worktop finish over a Thetford dual-fuel hob with electric hotplate and three gas burners and separate oven and grill, stainless steel large round kitchen sink with concealed fixings and mixer tap. There are two mains sockets here, and a 141-litre Thetford fridge with freezer on the opposite wall.

Stepping up into the washroom on the Adamo 75-4i you will find a washroom on the right offering swivel style cassette toilet with with removable cassette on wheels and electric flush, countertop mounted washroom hand basin with swan neck ceramic ball mixer tap and illuminated mirrored cabinet above. This area also has a small window with blind. On the opposite side is a full size gloss white shower cubicle with bi-fold partition door and illuminated 'Carbon' shower plinth

The clever design of the central washroom means that it can either be accessed from the lounge or the bedroom side with no body having to disturb the other end of the van, giving more privacy.

Finally at the rear is the bedroom offering a spacious island bed with windows on either side, and above a rooflight fills this area with natural light. Either side of the bed you have wardrobe space and a small area for putting your phone, books, etc at bedtime. Additionally you have 2 adjustable spotlights making reading in bed easy.

Overall equipment levels in this Bailey Adamo 75-4i motorhome are excellent. Heating and hot water are courtesy of Truma’s Combi 4E system with user-friendly digital control panel with adjustable fan and water boost functions. An 80Watt solar panel is also included and there’s pre-wiring for on-board wi-fi.

Another addition to the Transit is the FordPass Connect app, which not only gives you full updates on the Transit (oil and water levels, tyre pressures, battery condition etc) but will also warn you if it’s been left unlocked. It will even tell you where to find your vehicle if you’ve lost it!
